TRS seeks support of CPI in Huzurnagar - CPI to disclose their stand by Oct 1

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi has sought support of Communist Party of India (CPI) to its candidate S Saidi Reddy in the ensuing Huzurnagar bye election. The CPI leaders said that they would disclose their stand by October 1.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao sent a delegation of TRS leaders led by party's parliamentary party leader K Keshava Rao to talk to the CPI leaders for supporting the TRS candidate in the Huzurnagar. The CPI has decided not to contest the bye election.

Talking to reporters, Keshava Rao said that they had come to the CPI office Maqdoom Bhavan after knowing that the CPI was not contesting the elections. He further said that the TRS has supported various issues raised by the CPI in the State.

CPI State Secretary Chada Venkata Reddy said that the party would discuss with the Central committee and disclose their stand by October 1. He said that the CPI had worked with TRS during the Telangana agitation.
