TRS to celebrate KCR's birth day with massive plantation drive

Hyderabad: Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday called upon the officials, District Collectors, TRS party workers and others to plant saplings on a large-scale on February 17 to mark the 66th birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

KTR said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would turn 66 on February 17. The Chief Minister has an ambition of taking up a massive tree plantation, which was nowhere in the country.

"Everyone should participate in the tree plantation under the Haritha Haram programme taken up by the government. The Municipal, IT, Industries department officials should also take up plantation," said KTR requesting the District Collectors also to plant a sapling.

He asked the party workers to celebrate KCR's birthday by taking up plantation. The party leaders have started a campaign 'Each one plant one' to take mark the birthday of the Chief Minister. Rajya Sabha member J Santosh appealed people to support the campaign 'Each one plant one' started by KTR.

He asked people to take part in the 'Selfie with CM sir sapling' and strengthen the 'green India challenge' programme.

He said that KCR's favourite habit is to plant saplings and take care of the planted sapling. "Let us plant a sapling on the occasion of birthday of a great leader and give our contribution to society," said Santosh.

He asked people of the State to plant a sapling and take a selfie and send it to 8790909999. Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao appealed to people and also ward members, Sarpanches, MPTCs, ZPTCs, ZP Chairpersons, local body Cooption members to plant a sapling and take the responsibility of the same.

The Panchayat secretaries, MPDOs, MPOs, DLPOs, DPPOs, ZPCEOs, Mission Bhagiratha, Panchayat Raj engineers, officials, staff are also asked to do the same.
