TRS to lift lid on key decisions tomorrow
Hyderabad: The TRS state executive meeting scheduled to be held on Sunday assumes great importance. TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to break the silence on issues like foraying into national politics, shifting base to New Delhi and handing over power to MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao.
The meeting will also give a roadmap to the party rank and file on the strategy it has to adopt ahead of the series of elections mainly the MLC elections to the Graduate Constituencies (Hyderabad- Rangareddy – Mahbubnagar and Warangal- Khammam- Nalgonda) and the local body elections to seven municipalities, including Warangal and Khammam in the next two months.
As the TRS party is completing 20 years of its formation on April 27, KCR would also announce the plan of action for the foundation day celebrations.
Party leaders said the entire party cadre was in confusion ever since the leaders and ministers made statements that KTR would step into his father's shoes by April this year. Some leaders went ahead by saying that February 18, a day after KCR's birthday , is fixed for KTR's 'coronation' as second CM of the Telangana state. "KCR would discuss all these issues in the state executive and set the things right in the party," said a party insider.
The party chief would also exchange views on the manner in which the BJP could make its impact felt in the state after the Dubbaka Assembly by-elections and GHMC polls. KCR will give a new direction to the party leadership to continue as an invincible political outfit in Telangana and devise a strategy to counter the BJP. He would also give clarity on the stand the party should take on central policies.
The party has given some indications by taking U-turn on farm laws and by deciding to introduce reservation for EWS ( economically weaker sections ) among forward castes in education and employment and implementing Ayushman Bharat health scheme.
