TRS turning Bangaru Telangana into Badala Telangana: CPM in Khammam

Khammam: CPM State secretary Pothineni Sudharshan Rao has demanded the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) to lift terms and conditions with regard to purchase of cotton at its procurement centres.

Addressing the media at the party office, Rao demanded the CCI to provide the Minimum Support Price of Rs 5,550 per quintal to the farmers, and added that farmers were facing many problems due to the terms and conditions set by the CCI.

He also demanded the State government to immediately release the Aasara pensions.

With regard to RTC strike, Rao added that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should shun his arrogant attitude and allow the employees to join their duties lest he face debacle in the next Assembly elections.

"The people will reject the TRS government in next elections, he said, adding that the Bangaru Telangana was turning into 'Badala Telangana'. Party district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao, party district leaders K Venkateswar Rao, B Lenin, M Bharathi, B Veerabhadram, B Ramesh and others attended the meeting.
