Hanamkonda: The ruling TRS party is desperate to win the bypoll of Huzurnagar Assembly seat, senior BJP leader N Indrasena Reddy said. Speaking to media persons here on Friday, he alleged that the government is misusing the official machinery to win the seat.

Even though there was drastic shortage of urea across the State, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made it available abundantly to the farmers in Suryapet district. This indicates that the TRS government is misusing its power with a view to win the Assembly byelection.

Referring to the incident in Mahabubabad district in which a farmer suffered snake bite standing in queue to fetch urea, and the death of a farmer in Medak district due to cardiac arrest, Reddy sought an explanation from the Chief Minister.

He said the government failed to mitigate the urea shortage as it lacked vision. To cover up their failures, the TRS leaders are resorting to mudslinging at Central government.

Reddy said the TRS party and K Chandrashekar Rao deliberately ignored celebrating the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji who actively participated in the Statehood movement.

The Chief Minister wants people to remember him only, Reddy said. The BJP would emerge as an alternative to TRS in Telangana, he said. BJP Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma and others were present.
