Hyderabad: The budget session of the Telangana State Assembly is likely to begin from September 4 or 9 or 14. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday held a high-level meeting to prepare the budget proposals at Pragati Bhavan here.

The Chief Minister discussed the schedule for the conduct of assembly session. In view of festival season like Ganesh Chaturthi, Idol immersion and Moharam in September, the officials suggested the assembly session should be held on nonfestival days to ensure adequate police security during festivities.

K Chandrashekar Rao instructed the police and State government officials to finalise the schedule and forward the same to Assembly Secretary. The Chief Minister also asked the officials to follow strictly financial discipline to reduce the impact of economic recession on State.

All the Ministers were also asked to hold meetings and finalise the budget proposals without any delay. State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar, Finance Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao etc were also present.
