TS gets cracking on 2021 census

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S K Joshi on Monday said that 71,136 enumerators would be used to obtain details of people as part of 2021 census.

Joshi held a meeting with officials at BRKR Bhavan on Monday. He directed them to coordinate for effective conduct of creating census details.

First phase of training master trainers has been completed recently and the second phase started on Monday. It will continue till December 7, he said.

The Chief Secretary said master trainers would offer training on census works to 2,000 field officials, who will in turn give training to local officials and staff.

The trained officials were instructed to coordinate for efficient collection of data of houses, people and the numbers, he said.

Also, the census staff would collect data like social, cultural, demographic and other details.
