TS Govt announces schedule for identification of BC voters
Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has announced the schedule for identification of voters belonging to the Backward Classes in the State. The BC voters are being identified for reservation as the term of the elected bodies of 53 Municipalities and 3 Municipal Corporations will expire on July 2.
As per the schedule, the identification and appointment of Backward Classes voters identification officers and conduct of trainings to enumerators will be one June 21. Door to door survey for identification of BC voters will be done from June 22 to July 4. The draft rolls will be published on July 6 and Claims and Objections will be received from 7th to 11th July. The publication of final Electoral Roll with ward-wise BC voters will be done on 18th July. The overall process will be completed in 28 days.
GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said that all the Deputy Commissioners of Circle Nos. 1 to 30 have been designated as B.C. Voters Identification Officers and they have been directed to commence the conduct of door to door survey for identification of BC voters in respect of 150 election wards of GHMC area by appointing the enumerators and supervisors with effect from 22nd June to 4th July.
They have also been directed to ensure 100% verification of all households in their jurisdiction through enumerators. For conducting the Door to Door verification for identification of BC voters, the latest electoral rolls as published on February 22, 2019 with reference to 01.01.2019 as qualifying date along with its supplements generated up to 25.03.2019 will be adopted.
All the electors of the GHMC area have been requested to cooperate with the enumerators and Supervisors visiting your households for BC voter identification and furnish the correct details to them.
