TS govt plans 3 tourist centres at Ananthagiri

Vikarabad: Ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Srinivas Goud said Ananthagiri Hills would be developed with three tourism centres. They visited the Lord Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple on Wednesday. Later, they took a look at chatri (umbrella), viewpoint atop the hills and 'Nandi' on the way to Tandur.

After reviewing a meeting with the MP Ranjith Reddy, local MLA Dr M Anand and collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam, the minister said the nearby areas like Kotpalli and Sarpanpalli projects would also be developed as major tourist attractions with an estimation of Rs 200 crore. "Steps would be taken to attract more tourists from Hyderabad and Vikarabad areas. Facilities like naturopathy and boating at the projects will be developed," the ministers said.

The ministers said that a mini tank bund would be constructed at Shivareddypet Lake, with a budget of Rs five crore. Seating arrangements along with walking track would also be provided, they said.

The ministers said they visited the places as per the orders of chief Minister. They reminded that the CM promised to turn the area a big tourist destination. "We are planning to develop temple, wellness and adventure tourism in the region.

ZP chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy, chairmen of corporations Nagender Goud, P Krishna Murthy, forest officer Venumadhav and other officials were present.
