TS SSC results 2019: Girls outshine boys
Hyderabad: Girls outshine boys in the Telangana Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results announced by the school education department here on Monday.
The pass percentage of students was 92.43 per cent this year. While the pass percentage of boys is 91.18 per cent, the girls was 93.68 per cent which is 2.5 per cent more than boys. About 5,52,280 students applied for SSC examination, 5,46,728 attended and 5,06,200 students have passed the exam. There were 40,826 private students and the pass percentage was 61.40 per cent.
The pass percentage was more this year compared to last year. While the pass percentage during last year was 83.87 per cent, this year it was 92.43 showing an increase of 8.65 per cent.
Jagityal district topped in the state with a pass percentage of 9.73 per cent. The pass percentage in Hyderabad was 83.09 per cent. Siddipet was second with 99.33 and Karimnagar was third with 98.38 per cent.
The advance supplementary examinations will be held from June 10 to 24. The last date for application fee is May 27. For the head of the schools the last date to remit the fee is May 29. Students can pay fee with late fees of Rs 50 till June 8.
