New Revenue Act will be introduced in the coming Budget session to offer good governance to the people which is aimed to provide welfare measures to the farmers and people, said the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The existing act has not benefitted the people rather inflicted immense damage to farmers and the people, said the chief minister adding that the revised act will revoke the damages caused. He further said that the existing Acts are not sufficient to offer good governance without giving any opportunity to corruption.

"The archaic and obsolete Revenue Acts have inflicted immense damage to farmers and people. We have to undo these damages. Hence the government is engrossed in preparing a new revenue Act. Let me share the good news with you that in the coming Budget session of the Assembly, the new Revenue Act will be introduced. The proposed act will give no room for corruption or laxity and will offer hassle-free services to people and farmers," he stressed in his speech at Independence Day celebrations conducted by the State government at Golconda Fort. He emphasized the need to replace all the old Acts totally.

"This is the reason why the State government came out with a New Panchayat Raj Act and a New MunicipalityAct. With the New Acts, I am sure there will be clean, tidy villages and towns with lots of greenery," KCR said.
