Hyderabad : Now get all the permissions at one place for setting up a hotel, resorts, service, wayside amenities, convention centres and others as Telangana Tourism has developed an application in the TS-iPASS portal for the tourism related permissions. The applicant would be given 15 types of permissions at one place and within a period of 30 days.

The applicants would be given different types of permissions within 30 days and if the permission is not granted within the stipulated time, the permission is deemed to have been given. The new initiative would help the tourism sector in registration of hotels, travel agency and tourism events-performance licence.

According to the officials the promoter/user can register and apply for necessary permissions in the TS-iPASS portal for the services which include 15 approvals for hotels, two approvals each for travel agency and tourism events through the online single window system. The online system would allow users to submit the application, payment, tracking and monitoring of the application. The application from the promoter/user all required documents along with prescribed fee, will be forwarded to the concerned departments for processing and issue of required clearances through online. The permissions would be issued within a prescribed time.

Starting the services here, Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud said that the permissions like construction, change of land, nala conversion, fire, police, electricity, water supply and other permissions would be given within 30 days.

He said that there were revolutionary changes in the State as part of initiatives under ease of doing business. He asked the hoteliers and the travel agents to register themselves with the department. He said that this facility was available immediately. Meanwhile, the Telangana government on Saturday issued a GO implementing the online services regarding tourism in the state through a single window system.

Stating that many countries were dependent on tourism for revenue and creating artificial things to attract the tourists, Srinivas Goud said that Telangana has natural resources and every district has history. If tourism facilities are developed at these places it would attract many people.

"Covid has affected the tourism sector hard and it also provides opportunity as there are many tourist destinations in the State. The investors should look towards the State and the government will provide security to their investments.

There is a huge scope for tourism spots at reservoirs," said Srinivas Goud adding Telangana was a role model for other states in terms of reforms. Welcoming the government's gesture to bring the tourism related services in the TS-iPASS as part of ease of doing business, the hotels' associations have demanded the government to declare tourism as an industry.
