TSRTC initiates recruitment process
Hyderabad: Toughening its stand further on Sunday, the TSRTC called for applications for the posts of drivers, conductors, mechanics and shramiks to work on daily wage and temporary basis.
According to the notification, the recruited drivers will get Rs 1,500, while conductors Rs 1,000 on daily basis. The corporation in a bid to run 100 per cent buses in 3-4 days has also invited applications from the retired traffic and mechanic supervisors, who are willing to work in the TSRTC.
The absence of the supervisors had resulted in serious technical problems at bus depots, both in terms of movement and maintenance of the buses. Not only the TSRTC drivers, retired employees and retired drivers who have worked in other government departments can also apply for the temporary posts.
The corporation would provide Rs 1,000 per day to retired mechanics, shramiks, electricians, tyre mechanics and clerical workers.
The workers who are capable and have experience of operating the RTC's Volvo/AC/multi-axle buses can also apply for driver posts.
The drivers and mechanics capable of operating and maintaining AC buses would be given a remuneration of Rs 2,000 per day. The software professionals who can work as IT trainers would be given Rs 1,500 remuneration per day.
Those interested have been asked to approach the nearest depot manager or motor vehicle inspectors or district transport officials, according to the press release issued by the TSRTC.
