TSRTC mechanic attempts suicide in Hyderabad

A TSRTC mechanic attempted suicide here at Dabeerpura by consuming poison pills on Thursday.

Shaik Baba, who works as a mechanic at Ranigunj bus depot took the pills and fell unconscious. Other TSRTC employees shifted to a private hospital near Suchitra where he is undergoing treatment.

On Wednesday, a TSRTC mechanic identified as Karim Khan died of a heart attack at Karimnagar. He was working at Karimnagar depot-2. Khan's family members alleged that he was depressed over joining the duty after the KCR issued a deadline.

Meanwhile, the TSRTC strike entered the 34th day and the JAC unions called on a million march on November 9.
