Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has extended stay on the privatisation of TSRTC till next hearing on November 18 (Monday). The hearing on payment of RTC workers' salaries was also adjourned to November 19.

State Advocate General BS Prasad informed the court that the State cabinet's decision to enforce privatisation of the RTC would be executed only after required orders were issued.

Submitting the cabinet's approval to 50 per cent privatisation of the RTC routes in a sealed cover, the counsel of the State government clarified to the division bench that the government will make public the cabinet decision soon after the necessary orders were issued. The court also questioned the government for the delay in issuing orders.

Referring to the payment of salaries to the striking RTC workers, the division bench asked the government for not taking measures to address the salaries issues for the last 3 months.

The judges were apprehensive on the sincerity of the RTC management in the payment of the salaries.
