TSRTC rakes in Rs 107 crores revenue for Sankranti
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has made a huge revenue for Sankranti festival by operating additional 4,000 buses. Without charging any additional amount from the passengers, the TSRTC raked in Rs 107 crores revenue by relocating over 55 lakh passengers to their respective destinations.
On the occasion, TSRTC chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and managing director VC Sajjanar thanked the passengers who supported TSRTFC. They appealed the passengers to favour the corporation in the similar way by allowing it to develop further.
The TSRTC operated additional buses from January 7 to 14. The TSRTC officials said that the corporation raked in Rs 12 crores revenue per day before the pandemic. However, during the Sankranti festival, the corporation generated a revenue of Rs 15.20 crores per day.
