TSTDC mulls budget hotels in all districts

Uppala Srinivas Gupta assumes charge as its chairman

Hyderabad: Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) Chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta on Monday said that the Corporation would set up budget hotels in every district in the State. The chairman assumed charge and conducted a board meeting of the Corporation on Monday. He said that he would strive to develop the State as a major tourism destination.

The TSTDC is entrusted with developing tourist infrastructure and new projects like Bhongir Fort Ropeway, Waddepally Cheruvu at Warangal, resorts, wayside amenities, heritage, pilgrimage, and eco-tourism etc. The corporation would beautify the lakes and provide boating facilities to attract tourist footfalls in the State.

Gupta called upon all the employees to wear wandloom dresses on every Monday to support wavers in Telangana. Board of directors, Tourism Secretary KS Sreenivasa Raju, MD B Manohar, ED Shankar Reddy and others were present.
