Two 90-year-old buildings razed in Warangal

Warangal: Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) in a special drive razed two 90-year-old buildings that are in dilapidated condition on Tuesday. According to the in-charge city planner Narsimharamulu of the GWMC, the buildings owned by Akarapu Vishweshwar and Akarapu Harish were unsafe to reside.
The GWMC, which denied to issue Stability Clearance certificate, had issued notices to the owners on September 29 and August 9 that the buildings were unsafe and needed to be demolished in view of public safety.
As many as 40 workers engaged in the razing of both the buildings amid tight police security.
