Kothagudem: Two coaches of a Hyderabad-bound train caught fire at Kothagudem railway station on Tuesday. No casualty was reported as the passengers of the affected coaches ejected safely.

According to railway sources, an electric short-circuit caused fire in two AC couches A1 and B1 of Manuguru Superfast Express(17025) during the wee hours of Monday. The incident occurred when the train arrived at Kothagudem railway station from Manuguru on its onward journey. The railway officials said the fire engulfed the two air-conditioned coaches.

However, there were no casualties in the incident as the passengers on-board got alerted with smoke and jumped out of the coaches by breaking the emergency exit window glasses and doors.
