Kodangal/Nagarkurnool: Two persons were dead in two separate incidents in Kodangal and Nagarkurnool mandals on Wednesday.

In the first incident, a young boy committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Narsapur village of Doulatabad mandal under Kodangal constituency.

According to villagers, for some unknown reasons Jinigali Khaja (18), son of Madarappa, used to stay alone and always seemed depressed. For the last one week, he has been remaining aloof and did not even mingle with his friends as he used to do earlier.

However, on Wednesday morning, when there was no one at home, Khaja bolted himself in a room and committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling. The details of his death are yet to be known as no one expected him to take such an extreme step. "We never expected our son will take such an extreme step.

Though we found him dull for quite a sometime, we could never realise what was going on in his mind," wept Madarappa, deceased's father. The Doulatabad police registered a case and investigating the matter.

In the second incident, Subbarao (23), a daily wager working at a construction site of Venkatadri Reservoir constructed under Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project in Vattam village of Bijinepally mandal in Nagarkurnool district, accidentally fell in a water sump and drowned.

By the time the authorities could rescue, he was declared dead. A case has been registered in the Bijinepally police station and the dead body was shifted to Nagarkurnool government hospital for necropsy.
