Two former ACB constables arrested at Boduppal
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday arrested two former constables of ACB department Madathala Sudhakar Reddy and Gutha Yadagiri Reddy after conducting searches in their houses at Boduppal and Peerzadiguda in Medchal district.
The ACB sleuths said that both of them had worked in the ACB earlier but even after their transfer from the department both of them were threatening the government officials and collecting money illegally from them.
The accused G Yadagiri Reddy who is working as a police constable in the CID and M Sudhakar Reddy who is working as a head constable in CAR headquarters has threatened the complainant Sheshagiri Chand, Sub-Registrar of Shamirpet and demanded Rs 10,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively and collected the amount from him.
The accused by posing themselves as staff of ACB threatened the sub-registrar by saying that there is an enquiry against him and by convincing their superior officials they see that no action would be taken against him.
The arrested accused were produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases of Hyderabad and the case is under investigation.
