Two held with Rs 1.25 crore gold jewellery in Old City

Hyderabad: The South Zone Mirchowk Police on Saturday apprehended two persons Vishal Mahender Bandari (35) and Ronak Mahender Bandari (30), who were found with unaccounted gold ornaments worth Rs 1.25 Crore and Rs 3.69 lakh cash.

According to police, the duo were found moving suspiciously near Kali Kaman in Gulzar House, upon which they were apprehended and on search they found in possession of gold weighing about 3,530 gram.

On questioning they confessed that they were on their way to sell the gold ornaments and they failed to produce any valid records about the source of the ornaments and cash.

Police seized gold ornaments, cash and one cell phone from their possession. By registering a case under section 102 CrPC police are investigating.
