Two injured as car overturns in Wanaparthy
Wanaparthy: Two persons were injured in a road accident occurred on National Highway 44 at Palam village of Kottakota mandal in Wanaparthy district on Monday.
According to an eye witness, the car in which two persons were travelling from Hyderabad to Kurnool, suddenly hit the divider on the national highway and tumbled upside down. As the result of the crash the occupants got grievous injuries. They were rushed to the Wanaparthy Area Hospital for treatment. The condition of one person is said to be critical. The police who reached the spot registered a case.
"Over speed and neglect driving are the major reasons for road accidents on National Highway. In spite of many reminders and awareness programmes, road accidents are growing. To contain this, the police department is planning to install speed monitoring cameras soon," said Kottakota police.
