Two tribals killed, several hurt in road accident in Sathupally

Sathupally (Khammam): Two tribals were killed and others suffered injuries when the tractor they were travelling in was hit by a speeding lorry near Bethupally village under Sathupally mandal on Friday.

According to sources, over 20 tribals were heading towards Gangaram village for participating in the World Adivasi Day celebrations in a tractor. However, when the tractor reached Bethupally village, it was hit by speeding lorry where all those travelling in the tractor fell down.

While two persons, Venkatesh and Laxmaiah, were killed on the spot, others were grievously injured. All the injured were shifted to Sathupally hospital by the local police.

Meanwhile, Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao visited the hospital and consoled the accident victims. He promised of all necessary help from the government to the families of deceased persons.
