UK paediatric body holds exams in city

Hyderabad: The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH, UK) has launched its new format of MRCPCH (UK) clinical exams for the first time at Rainbow Children's Hospital, Hyderabad.

A total of 48 candidates appeared in the exam to obtain the prestigious Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health Membership- MRCPCH.

The RCPCH (UK) membership exams are held around the world in several countries – UK, South Asia, Far East and Middle East. The first MRCPCH (UK) exam was held in India in 2011 and has been running successfully till now with over 96 candidates appearing in the exam annually for the prestigious membership.

Dr. Ramesh Kancharla, CMD, Rainbow Group, who has done MRCPCH (UK) said, "We are extremely happy and proud that the examination with the new format was held for the first time in India. It provides an opportunity to Indian pediatricians and trainees to obtain MRCPH (UK)."

"Earlier, to participate in the examination they had to travel all the way to UK. The exams now being conducted in India, it has become more affordable and convenient. It is a reflection of the progress in child health services in India," he said.
