Unknown miscreants vandalise govt school in Kodangal

Kodangal: Unknown miscreants damaged the furniture and other facilities in the government Zilla Parishad High School for Girls in Kodangal mandal on Monday.

According to school staff, they were shocked to see chairs, benches and some of the facilities on the school premises damaged on Monday morning. "This is not the first time. We have been facing this kind of a situation for the last two to three.

The entire furniture in the school has been destroyed by some unknown miscreants. This kind of situation is creating fear among the students and teachers," said a senior teacher from the school.

After facing repeated incidents of ransacking and vandalism, the school authorities have filed a complaint with the police. The Kodangal police have registered a case and promised to track the culprits soon and take them into custody.

Not just Kodangal ZPHS, the miscreants are making several government schools their dens for carrying out illegal businesses. In many schools, the miscreants also resorted to consuming alcohol and leave the bottles and litter the school premises.

"The police have to intensify their patrolling near all the government offices and schools to protect the government property," demanded the residents of Kodangal.
