Use bamboo products to save environment: Jagadish Reddy

the the : Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy urged people to give up plastic and use bamboo products to save the environment.

On Wednesday, he inaugurated the bamboo stalls set up by Medara community on the occasion of World Bamboo Day at Kuda Kuda Road in Suryapet town.

Speaking on the occasion, he said he would extend his cooperation and assured to allocate place to cultivate required bamboo for their products.

He explained the usage and importance of bamboo in various traditions in two Telugu speaking States. Stating that the Telangana government is encouraging caste-based professions, he said that it is the duty of everyone to plant bamboo trees to conserve forest to maintain eco-balance.

Later in a separate programme, he distributed pattas to double bedroom houses beneficiaries of Gollabazar in Suryapet town

The Minister said one could not find slab-based double bedroom houses in the world like in Telangana and added that Chief Minsiter K Chandrashekar Rao has planned 2 BHK houses during the Telangana Movement.

In this programme, ZP vice chairaman Gopagani Venkatnaryana Goud, District Library chairman N Srinivas Goud, officials, beneficiaries, TRS local leaders participated.
