Gadwal: District Collector K Shashank while visiting the rural thandas and other tribal hamlets in KT Doddi and Rajouli mandals on Wednesday directed the village panchayat secretaries to set up local bodies committees and devise strategies to develop their villages in all aspects.

The 30-day action plan by the State government aimed at providing necessary basic facilities in the villages. This is the best opportunity for the people of rural villages to make use of it and must device an action plan for the next 5 years for their respective villages, said the Collector while addressing the people of Mundladinne and Pedda Tandrapadu villages in Rajouli mandal.

The Collector advised the villagers to appoint 3 co-option members as the local body committee members and conduct a monthly meeting with the village representatives to chart out what are the necessary facilities needed for their respective village and accordingly set goals and work towards achieving them.

"The proposed needs and requirements of a village must be sent to the government. After studying the proposals, the government will release funds, using which the villagers can realise the goals for their village," said the Collector.
