Uttam Kumar should continue as TPCC chief till Nagarjunsagar bypoll: Jagga Reddy
Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy wrote to Congress state party in-charge Manikam Tagore to let Uttam Kumar Reddy continue as TPCC chief until Nagarjuna bypoll. He also asked Manikam Tagore to consider the suggestions of the party senior leaders before finalizing their decision.
Jagga Reddy said that the TPCC chief election should be held with the consensus of the party seniors and asked not to take a hasty decision on the TPCC chief election. In the letter, he said that BJP is making use of TRS and AIMIM party indirectly for the party growth as they have no persons to win as MLAs.
Reddy said that the party needed to be taken care of in the view of the Nagarjunasagar bypoll in February or March and also urged to suspend the election of TPCC chief post until the completion of the bypoll.
Senior Congress leaders in the party are said to have been dissatisfied with the high command decision on the TPCC post. On Friday, V Hanumantha Rao threatened to quit the party if Revanth Reddy is chosen for the post of TPCC chief.
