Uttam making allegations in desperation: Jagadish

Hyderabad: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Thursday said that TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy had lost mental balance and making false allegations in a desperation to win the byelection from Huzurnagar Assembly segment.

Reddy already announced his wife Uttam Padmavati will be the Congress candidate in the bypoll. In an informal chat with scribes in the Assembly premises, the minister said that TRS will win hands down in the byelection.

TPCC chief was making hue and cry against the TRS in a fear of his defeat. The Congress leaders already raised strong objection over fielding his wife without taking the consent of party high command.

The minister alleged that Uttam has taken up false propaganda against TRS candidate Saidi Reddy but people are aware of the TPCC leader's conspiracy politics.

The TRS candidate lost to Uttam by margin of only 7,000 votes. The reason for the defeat of TRS was voters cast their vote on truck which is similar to the party symbol car in the 2018 elections.

An official announcement of the party candidate will be made by TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao soon. The notification for the byelection is expected this month end.
