Suryapet: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy felt that State government had utterly failed in conducting Inter exams and its evaluation which pushed the lives of 10 lakh students into troubles.

On Thursday, as part of party's Statewide protest over Inter exams goof-up, Uttam participated in a protest organised before the district collectorate in Suryapet.

Addressing the gathering, the Congress leader said the actual problem was created due to assigning the marks tabulation work of Inter exams to an efficient and inexperienced outsourcing agency which was close to TRS working president KT Rama Rao. He questioned the government as to what the need was to opt for another agency when a regular agency has been carrying tabulation works for the last several years successfully? He further asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as to this way of ruling should be followed by the rest of the States in the country?

He termed suicides of all 19 Inter students as murders committed by the State government. "Government has been playing with the lives of students," he felt, demanding the Chief Minister to tender apology to students unconditionally besides dismissing the Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy over irregularities, pay compensation of Rs 25 lakh to each family whose children committed suicide and allow all the students to take free re-verification and re-valuation.

Former Minister Ramreddy Damoder Reddy held Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao for the present situation of students. He said the duo leaders has completely ignored the future of students and the State, they were showing interest in snatching away the legislators of other parties and gag the voice of opposition in and outside the Assembly.

He demanded the State government to allow free re-verification and re-valuation of students who have passed and also those who have failed.

Party State leaders Chakilam Rajeshwar Rao, Patel Ramesh Reddy, DCC president Chevity Venkanna, party leaders Byru Venkanna Goud, Shafiullah , Gudipaty Narsaiah and large number of party workers took part in the protest.
