Uttam tours flood-affected villages in Suryapet

Huzurnagar (Suryapet): TPCC chief and Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar Reddy toured inundated villages under Pulichintala project including Shunyampadu, Ravipadu and Mahankaligudem of Palakidu mandal in the district on Saturday.

He interacted with farmers and inspected the flood affected agriculture fields in the villages. Showing his noble gesture, he distributed rice and other essential commodities to the flood victims.

He also examined the inundated Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Mattapally village of Mattampally mandal in Huzurnagar constituency. Later speaking to the media, he said the situation in the flooded villages of Pulichintala project is very grim and it is the duty of the government to rescue and help the people who have lost their assets and crops in the floods.

He criticized the State government over poor assistance towards the flood-affected villages and added that CM KCR and his official machinery failed to take precautionary measures to avoid losses in villages.

He informed that he would bring to the notice of Chief Secretary of Telangana government SK Joshi the pitiable condition of the villages of Krishna river belt for necessary action and help. Local Congress leaders and others accompanied the PCC chief.
