Venkat Rao takes charge as Mahbubnagar District Collector

Mahbubnagar: The State government has appointed S Venkat Rao as the new District Collector of Mahbubnagar in place of Ronald Rose, who is transferred to Hyderabad to serve as Finance Secretary in Telangana Secretariat.

To this effect, Mr Rao had taken charge of his office late in the evening on Monday and promised to develop the district in all respects. Earlier, Venkat Rao has served as Narayanpet District Collector and as part of State government's reshuffling of District Collectors across the State, Venkat Rao has been posted s Mahbubnagar District Collector in place of Ronald Rose.

In fact, Venkat Rao has served Mahbubnagar district as Joint Collector earlier and has the knowledge of all the departments and development programmes being taken up in the district. However, after formation of Narayanpet as the new district, Venkat Rao was given promotion and was appointed as the District Collector of the newly-carved district. "Coming back to Mahbubnagar district as a Collector is really a great experience.

As I am already having some knowledge of the district and various development programmes taken up, this will really come handy for me to increase the pace of development. I really thank Ronald Rose, for his guidance and path he had shown. I shall try to follow all his suggestions and would try to finish all the ongoing works initiated by him and will take up new programmes and development activities in the district in the coming up days," observed Rao.
