VH terms KCR a dictator
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday severely criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not inviting RTC employees for talks, who were on the strike for the last 14 days.
Addressing the media, he said that the Chief Minister has been behaving like a dictator by not inviting the RTC employees for talks though the High Court has given clear directions in this regard.
Expressing wonder over not responding to the court orders on the strike, Hanumantha Rao said that former Chief Minister Neelam Sanjiva Reddy resigned to his post when the courts raised questions.
He alleged that the government was responsible for the crisis in the RTC at it did not pay the dues and buy new buses. He said that posts of the drivers have not been filled.
Hanumantha Rao stated that the salaries have not been paid to the RTC employees. He said that the government has gone bankrupt and the Chief Minister was unable to keep his promises.
He stated that Congress would support all the future activities of the RTC unions. He said that the other departments have also come together to support the strike of the RTC workers.
Meanwhile, he mentioned that on his request the Jana Sena Party, being led by film star Pawan Kalyan, has decided to support the Congress in Huzurnagar bypoll.
He said that the politburo of the party met and took a decision in this regard.
