Victory, defeat part of democracy: Kavitha
Nizamabad: Stating that victory and defeat are part of a democracy, former MP and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader K Kavitha on Monday said she will not leave Nizamabad and would strive for people of her constituency even after her defeat.
Kavitha visited TRS activist Kishore's residence in Manchippa village at Mopal mandal in Nizamabad district on Monday. Kishore died of heart stroke as he was not keeping well after the announcement of the results.
Disheartened by the loss of Kavitha in Lok Sabha elections 2019, TRS party's diehard fan, Kishore could not cope with Kavitha's loss.
While talking to reporters, Kavitha said people of the constituency voted the BJP because they believed it would form government at the Centre.
People have many expectations from the BJP, she hoped that the newly elected MP from Nizamabad would work to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
Kavitha said that she would not leave Nizamabad and would work for the people of the constituency.
She asked the TRS party cadre not to lose hope and stated that victory and defeat are part of democracy.
"Posts were never important for the TRS leaders since the Telangana agitation time and the separate State movement has shown us how to behave even during a defeat.
Do not lose confidence and work for Bangaru Telangana," Kavitha said. Along with Kavitha, Minister V Prashanth Reddy, all party MLCs and MLAs visited Kishore's family and assured full support from the party.
