Agri, Education Ministers inaugurate Rythu Vedikas

Vikarabad: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy along with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy inaugurated the Rythu Vedikas in Mominpet, Narayanpur and Kerelly villages of Vikarabad limits on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that the Rythu Vedikas have been set up throughout the State to bring awareness among farmers about the new technology, techniques and skills. Officials at the Rythu Vedikas will guide the farmers with regard to cropping patterns. Over 2,604 Rythu Vedikas were being constructed with a budget of Rs 600 crore throughout the State, he informed.

Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the State government has been developing the Rythu Vedikas across the State for the sake of farmers and 97 of them were developed with a cost of Rs 21.34 crore in the Vikarabad district.

Internet facilities, meeting halls and other facilities would be made available at Rythu Vedikas for farmers, she informed.

Vikarabad MLA M Anand, Vikarabad Additional Collector Chandraiah, Vikarabad Zilla Parishad vice-chairman Vijay Kumar, irrigation department consultant Penta Reddy, MPP Vijaya Laxmi, ZPTC Sujatha, Agriculture Joint Director Gopal along with other leaders and officials participated in the programme.
