Vikarabad: Villages block entry and exit points
Vikarabad: While the people in urban areas are seen defying the lockdown imposed by the State government, their counterparts in villages are seen following the advisory in letter and spirit.
In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic which has killed around 15,000 people across the globe and India registering nearly 500 positive cases, the State government here has ordered complete lockdown to prevent the spread of deadly virus. In such grave times, while the people in the cities and towns were defying the regulations, the youth and public representatives in villages in Vikarabad district have come up with a novel idea to enforce the lockdown strictly. They blocked all roads which lead to the villages to stop entry of non-locals and exit of villagers.
While the residents of a colony in Burugupalli village in Vikarabad district blocked the roads with fallen trees, the villagers of Beerole in Kotpalli mandal placed branches of thorny trees to prevent the passage. In many areas, people used different methods to keep themselves away from others.
