Villagers protest over acute water shortage

Zaheerabad: Residents of Nethaji Nagar and Allipur colonies in the municipal limits staged a dharna demanding solve the issue of drinking water problem at municipal office, here on Friday. CPM leaders extended their solidarity to the protesters.

Speaking on the occasion, town secretary of the CPM Mahipal said several borewells dried up due to lack of rainfall. He demanded that water should be supplied with the tankers as an alternative move. They handed over a memorandum to the RO Prabhakar. CPM leaders Saleemuddin, Raju, Naresh were also present.
