Hyderabad: Telangana NRIs in the USA extended strong support to the ongoing TSRTC strike.

State Planning Commission vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, who is presently touring United States, faced wrath of the crowd at a meeting organised by Telangana Development Forum.

Interestingly, Congress working president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy was also present on the dais when the incident happened.

Some participants in the meeting raised 'Save RTC' slogans and held placards in support of the strike. Vinod Kumar tried to pacify the NRIs by assuring them that his government would save the RTC.

But his appeals went in vain as more members joined in the protest. Further, Vinod Kumar said that privatisation of RTC was started by former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijaya Singh who belongs to the Congress party.

Organisers tried to stop the protestors which led to a minor altercation between both groups and commotion prevailed in the meeting.
