Vinod Kumar promises to take teachers' issues to CM KCR's notice

Hyderabad: State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar on Thursday promised to take the issues of teachers to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

On Thursday, the members of Teaching Employees Association of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) in Basar met Vinod Kumar. The Planning Board vice-chairman enquired about the organisational aspects of various subjects and the topics being taught. He was informed that a full-fledged university-level teaching in Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Chemical, Electronic and Communication, Electrical, Meteorological Engineering, Mechanical and Computer Science trades in B Tech were taken up in RGUKT.

Vinod Kumar said that there was a need to set up new colleges in other parts of the State as a key affiliation of the university and he would do his part for this. He assured that the issues of teachers would be brought to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Adding that RGUKT was a boon for students in rural areas, Vinod Kumar said that 90 per cent of the students studying in this university were getting placements. Among those who met Vinod Kumar include Basar RGUKT Teaching Employees Association president T Srisailam, general secretary A Sai Krishna, secretary K Krishna Prasad, treasurer T Rakesh Reddy and EC member N Vijay Kumar.
