Vinod Kumar trying to fool Karimnagar people: Ponnam
Karimnagar: Sitting MP and TRS candidate for Karimnagar Parliament constituency B Vinod Kumar is trying to fool the people of Karimnagar district with his false statements of development, stated Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar.
He alleged that no development took place during the five-year tenure of Vinod as he was boasting of, at a press meet at party office here on Tuesday.
He said that the government had not collected even one inch of land for railway line, but Vinod is boasting that the works are going on at a quicker pace. At the same time, the sitting MP is boasting of making Karimnagar as a hub of national highway but in reality, not a kilometre of national highway was laid.
Reminding TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's promise of sanctioning a medical college to the district on August 5, 2014 during his visit to the district, he questioned KCR as to 'what happened to the medical college'. The TRS government had sanctioned Rs 10 crores for establishing leather parks in other districts but neglected its promise made to Karimnagar people, he added.
Ponnam said that since Vinod Kumar is a non-local, he is not bothered about the development of Karimnagar. 'He even never addressed people's issues staying in Karimnagar from 2009 to 2014, when he was defeated by me.' Congress is determined to develop of all sections of people and will fulfill all its promises mentioned in the manifesto, he assured. The Congress candidate appealed to the people to cast their vote to him and elect him with bumper majority for the development of Karimnagar.
