Wanaparthy begins implementation of a 15-day urban action plan
Wanaparthy: District Collector Swetha Mohanty, while launching the 15-day action plan programme in Ward 23 of Wanaparthy municipality on Tuesday, directed the municipal authorities to ensure all the drainages in the municipalities were desilted and cleared and ensure no pigs roam in the municipal area limits.
As part of the action plan programme, the Collector toured Swetha Nagar Colony, Vadderawada, Bhagath Singh Nagar, Santabazaar and other areas and noticed that these colonies were infested with pigs which have made the overflowing drains as their habitats. "We have seen almost all the major colonies and wards are infested with pigs. We have directed the municipal officials to make sure that the drains in each and every ward are cleared at the earliest and ensure no pigs roam in the areas," said the Collector.
The Collector also urged the people to extend their helping hand for the implementation of 15-day urban action plan. The Collector also directed Municipal Commissioner Rajinikanth to supervise the 15-day action plan programme so that the municipal authorities and special ward officials take up this programme seriously and achieve the set targets in the given time period.
