Wanaparthy Collector Swetha Mohanty suspends healthcare workers
Wanaparthy: Taking serious action against the Asha workers and health supervisors for not conducting their duties with regard to immunisation programme in the district, the district collector Swetha Mohanty issued showcase notices and even issued suspension orders to some of Asha and healthcare supervisors for dereliction of their duties.
While conducting surprise visits to primary health centre in Khila Ghanapur mandal on Thursday, the Collector conducted a thorough checking of records pertaining to immunisation programme. When the Collector asked for explanation from the concerned Asha workers and health Supervisors, they did not respond to the questions posed by the Collector.
The Kamaloddinpur Asha worker Anjamma was immediately removed from her duties as she failed in fulfilling her duties. In the last one year, the Asha worker had not maintained a single record relating to immunization programme in the respective village allocated to her. The Collector was unhappy at the way the worker had functioned and asked her not attend the duties with immediate effect. The Collector also took strong exception to ANM Kondamma, Anganwadi worker Laxmi Kanthamma and health supervisor Dr Mrudula for neglecting the immunization programme and issued show cause notices to all of them and asked for explanation.
During her visit to Kadukutal primary health centre, the District Collector suspended Rajamai and Rajya Laxmi, the health supervisors for not maintaining proper records relating to immunisation programme. The Collector also expressed her anger against the Agaram village Anjanwadi teacher for not maintaining proper records relating to Anganwadi centre. The Collector suspended MD Shamina and issued show cause notice to another woman Kanikaramma for dereliction of her duties relating to immunisation programme under Kadukutal primary health centre.
