Wanaparthy: Housing Minister Prashanth Reddy assures people of 1,500 2BHKs
Wanaparthy: Housing Minister V Prashanth Reddy, after speaking to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, vowed to get another additional lot of 1,500 two-bedroom houses approved for the Wanaparthy constituency. After handing over the papers for about 24 houses in the first batch of 2 BHK houses in the village of Appayipally, he said that at an approximate cost of Rs 8.48 crore, a total of 160 houses are being constructed in the village.
Prashanth Reddy and Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy have previously initiated various development works at a cost of Rs 95 crore at Wanaparthy district headquarters.
He thanked his cabinet colleague Niranjan Reddy for being the sole reason for establishing Wanaparthy as a district. Earlier, the Chief Minister had approved Rs 50 crore for taking over works relating to central lighting, road widening and others.
The construction of two-bedroom houses was mostly completed in Appayipally, Chityala and Peddagudem, Niranjan Andy said. The first lot of 24 out of 160 houses was handed over to the beneficiaries and the remainder will shortly be handed over. He called on Housing Minister Prashanth Reddy to approve more than 1,500 two-bedroom homes, 500 of which could be built in the town of Wanaparthy, while the others could be built in villages.
