Wanaparthy: Intermediate student commits suicide

Wanaparthy: An intermediate first year student of BiPC stream studying at Madanapur Social Welfare Gurukula Junior College in Wanaparthy district reportedly hanged himself to a ceiling fan on Thursday.

According to sources, Srikanth (16), a resident of Chinnadagada village of Chinnambavi mandal was studying first year intermediate at the Social Welfare Gurukula Junior College.

On Thursday, he was found hanging to a ceiling fan in his hostel room.

It has been said that Srikanth was facing some difficulty with regard to his studies and went into depression.

On Thursday, Srikanth confined himself to his room and did not even come out to attend the classes.

And none of his friends suspected that he would take such a drastic step.

Meanwhile, the student unions, parents and relatives staged a protest on the premises of the college hostel and demanded justice.
