Wanaparthy: Revenue Sadassus to resolve land disputes
Wanaparthy: As the Revenue department across the State is bogged down with land disputes and the officials of the department facing tough time to resolve them, Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy has come out with a unique plan of organising 'Revenue Sadassus' in every village and take up the land issues of the concerned village if there were any and resolve them then and there with the help of farmers and the Revenue department officials.
Taking part in the Revenue Sadassu programme in Goplapur village of Pangal mandal of Wanaparthy district, the MLA said that there were thousands of farmers who were facing problems with regard to issuance of 'pattadar' passbooks, land mutation and other land related disputes. There were thousands of pending files piling up in the Tahsildars offices without getting cleared and there were many reasons for that.
However, he government has now realised the hardships and sufferings of farmers and started a new initiative of conducting 'Revenue Sadassus' where in the farmers can get their issues resolved within their own village, he said. "From now onwards, the farmers need not make rounds to the Tahsildars offices. The officials of the Revenue department themselves will come to you and seek petitions from you and resolve them then and there. This initiative is being taken up to resolve the land issues at a speedier and transparent manner," said the MLA.
The MLA also urged the villagers to make maximum out of the opportunity and put all their grievances and problems in front of visiting officials and get them resolved. District Collector Swetha Mohanty, officials from Revenue department and staff from Pangal Tahsildar's office took part in the programme.
