Warangal: All civic works will be expedited during Pattana Pragathi says Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar

Warangal: All the pending works in the divisions of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) would be speeded up during the Pattana Pragathi, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said.

He along with Minister for Tribal Welfare and Women Development Satyavathi Rathod visited several divisions in the city as part of Pattana Pragathi here on Thursday.

Later, Vinay Bhaskar roamed in the city on a two-wheeler to elicit information about the problems faced by the residents. "With an aim to develop municipalities, the State government initiated Pattana Pragathi with impetus on greenery and sanitation.

This apart, the administration will also focus on improving amenities such as roads, street lighting, open gyms etc.," Vinay said. He said that Warangal will have all the amenities and infrastructure in the near future.

Stating that without public's people's participation it's difficult to develop the city, he told the officials and civic body members to reach out the residents to get their opinion on works to be carried under the Pattana Pragathi.

As part of Pattana Pragathi, the Chief Whip laid foundation stone for an internal road at jyoti Basu Nagar. Later, Vinay inaugurated the urban health centre at Peddammagadda, and distributed cheques worth Rs 6.80 lakh to the five beneficiaries under CM Relief Fund.

Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao, Warangal MP Pasunuri Dayakar, Prakash, Corporatots Abu Bakker, Boda Dinna and Jakkula Venkateshwarlu were among others present.
