Warangal: Andhra Pradesh boat mishap victims kin get relief

Warangal: The State government will extend its support to the families of those, who died in the boat mishap in River Godavari near Kachaluru under Devipatnam mandal in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on September 15, Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said. He gave away cheques of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia provided by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments respectively to Bhoomaiah and Padmavathy, parents of Domala Hemanth of New Shayampet in Warangal, who lost his life in the boat tragedy.

Assuring a double bedroom house to the victim's family, who ekes out a living on tailoring profession, Vinay said that the government is ready to assist them in an appropriate way.

The Chief Whip thanked Chief Ministers of AP and Telangana YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and K Chandrashekar Rao for coming to the rescue of boat tragedy victims.

He also handed over a cheque of Rs 1.50 lakh to Kanthamma and Buchiramulu, who were ailing, of Shayampet under Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).

Vinay Kumar also assured double bedroom houses to the poor living in Sujith Nagar area.

The TRS government's aim is to provide all basic amenities to the poor and downtrodden, Vinay said.

Corporator (32nd Division) Aruna Shivashankar, RDO K Venka Reddy and MRO Nageshwar Rao were among others present.
