Warangal: Given the support differently abled would excel in many fields, Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairperson Mandala Parashuramulu said. Speaking at a programme as part of International Day of Disabled Persons organised by the Bannu Neuro Health and Rehabilitation Centre here on Tuesday, he said disability is just impairment in life or activity limitation.

"Disability is not an obstacle to one's success. Disability will not deter differently abled persons achieving their wonderful dreams. All that they needed was affection, care and meaningful interventions that empower them," the CWC Chairperson said. If trained in social and interpersonal skills, the physically or mentally challenged persons are as good as any other with no disabilities, he said.

Further he added that raising and caring unwell offspring is a challenging task for the parents. In addition to the parental and teachers' care, community support plays a critical role in bringing up the unwell children, he said. Government Primary School, Dargah, headmaster V Rammohan, Bannu Centre Director Kiran Kumari and children were present.
