Warangal: ISRO Exhibition will surely ignite the minds of school children

Warangal: The two-day ISRO Exhibition will surely ignite the minds of schoolchildren, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal Registrar S Goverdhan Rao said. He was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the Vikram Sarabhai Centenary Programme organised on the NIT campus here on Thursday.

Rao said that events such as ISRO Exhibition inculcate scientific temper and problem-solving skills among the children. "It would also inspire children to target seats in IITs and NITs," he said.

Further he stressed that every student should be inspired by the commitment and hard work of the ISRO. ISRO culture should be adopted by everyone in order to succeed in the personal and professional life, he said, expressing happiness over the stupendous success of the exhibition. It may be noted here that a whopping 22,000 students from 255 schools turned to the exhibition in two days.

Presenting a brief report on the two-day exhibition, Dr B Rajasri, Director, National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), thanked the officials, who toiled to organise the mammoth event. She also thanked NIT administration, district administration and Indian Red Cross Society for making the exhibition a huge success.

Venu Vinodh, Sectorial Officer, District Administration, spoke about the advantages that were provided to the students who visited the science exhibition. He said that a visit to the science exhibition would surely ignite the spark in students and help them becoming scientists. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of various competitions such as quiz, painting, Rangoli, essay writing etc.
